Since we are complaining about work
I have been holding this post back because I got so mad last week I felt I would write something stupid if I didn’t cool down first.
We got a report last week that lists the stuff we have planned to do and we had a big meeting where we discussed the stuff that was important to our work.
Those kind of meetings are generally booring and big waste of time to me since I usually just want to get the work done. Talking about work is up to the bosses. I just wanna get it done.
To the point, at the end of the report there is a lot of stuff about equality and the working enviroment.
There is also a part that explains how much the average employee makes every month.
To my horror I discovered that I make 14% less than the average employee. 14%!! To me that’s a lot. Since i’m a guy I also compared myself to the other guys and I make 20% less than the average guy. That’s just degrading.
My work sucks. My salary sucks!

I recently discovered that my salary is 9% higher than average for my sector, and about 4% higher than the national average. But I’m not happy. Why? I am a top graduate and I have a PhD from one of the top 10 Universities overall, and top 3 on my field. Is it fair? No, I see incompetent morons get more than I do simply for years of service.
